Partnering to Plan the Roadmap

FY25 capital project submissions closed for review.

The annual request for IT capital project submissions enables the Office of the CIO, division of IT Services, and university leadership to appropriately prioritize project and technology requests required to meet the goals of departments and the institution, while also enabling ITS to build and maintain a more comprehensive multi-year capital plan.

New capital project requests flow through an annual planning process, in which departments submit ideas for strategic projects that are assessed and prioritized by the university’s IT governance process. As part of this process, members of the ITS team will review business needs and begin to scope potential project plans, resource requirements, and schedules. The university’s IT Council (ITC) also reviews and provides input to project requests submitted through this process.  Learn more about the university’s IT governance process.

Projects that are funded and approved through this IT capital project process help the university implement its long-range plan and ensure that the university continues to appropriately advance the use of technology to meet its mission, vision, and goals.

Visit the  ITS Active Projects  page for examples of ongoing IT project work.
