Partnering to Plan the Roadmap

IT capital project submission for FY26 and beyond is now open!

The annual request for IT capital project submissions enables the Office of the CIO, division of IT Services, and university leadership to appropriately prioritize project and technology requests required to meet the goals of departments and the institution, while also enabling ITS to build and maintain a more comprehensive multi-year capital plan.

The IT capital planning cycle typically takes one full year or more, during which project requests are prepared, estimated, submitted, assessed, and prioritized before they’re considered by the IT Council for funding. With input from governing bodies and other stakeholders, the IT Council makes ultimate decisions related to funding and approving university technology projects.

Projects that are funded and approved through this IT capital project process help the university implement its long-range plan and ensure that the university continues to appropriately advance the use of technology to meet its mission, vision, and goals.

This program is highly competitive, and funding is not available to fulfill all of the requests. Requests for unfunded projects from previous cycles are welcomed and encouraged.
